Ginevra Weasley + The Second Wizarding War

During the early days of the war, Ginevra could do nothing but wait. She was too young, they said, too young to fight; but she knew she was also too old to sit around as her brothers fought in the trenches. Hogwarts was a far cry from safety; students emerged from classrooms with cuts and bruises rather than laughing. And even if she desperately tried to be the shining beacon of hope, joking around even when she’d had to scrub the floors because she dared to talk back, it seemed as though it was all in vain.

So she decided to fight back. No fear could stop her - if she knew anything, she knew pain, and it came as a bittersweet reminder to keep fighting. Keep fighting and keep surviving. The Dumbledore’s Army rose again, and they were too angry to falter. After all, those who have nothing to lose are the ones you should be terrified of.

No one can help me,” said Malfoy. His whole body was shaking. “I can’t do it… I can’t… It won’t work… and unless I do it soon… he says he’ll kill me…” And Harry realized, with a shock so huge it seemed to root him to the spot, that Malfoy was crying — actually crying — tears streaming down his pale face into the grimy basin.
